Prana
Prāṇaप्राण· PRAH-nahlife-force, vital breath
Prana is the vital life-force or energy that animates all living things, carried and regulated through the breath.
In yogic physiology prana flows through channels called nadis and is worked with through pranayama (breath regulation). It is the reason breath and vitality are so central to yoga.
