Yoga Practitioner & Educator
Sanjana Prasad
Ashtanga & Hatha
I'm a passionate yoga practitioner and teacher with 8 years of teaching experience, with a vision to make yoga accessible, approachable and relevant to everyone. Always a student first, I'm deeply curious about yoga as a holistic practice, applied science and way of life.
My teaching is rooted in tradition while being responsive to the needs of the modern practitioner. I care deeply about each student and believe in creating an interactive, encouraging and often light-hearted space where they can explore their practice rather than simply being given an experience to follow. I pay attention to each student's body language, energy and mood, adapting my teaching to meet them where they are and encouraging them to develop their own awareness and understanding.
I'm also a certified Animal Flow Instructor, Coach, Sound Meditation practitioner, Vedic Chanting teacher and Bharatanatyam dancer. I enjoy weaving these different influences into my understanding of movement, breath, sound and awareness, and bringing the philosophy of yoga off the mat and into everyday life.
I believe in creating a safe, curious space where practitioners can explore, experiment and gradually own their practice. With greater awareness of the body, mind and our patterns, the practice can gently move beyond the mat and into the way we live, respond and interact every day. Ultimately, I hope yoga becomes something we don't just practise, but live.
